Introducing the Collection
This new jewellery collection draws inspiration from the sculptural work of Barbara Hepworth. Hepworth's dialogue with the landscape, shaped by our interaction and connection to it, found expression in the interplay of solid and void. The two earring styles and two ring styles in this collection, translate that vision into wearable jewellery, capturing the spirit of, and paying homage to, Hepworth’s sculptural forms.
Design Philosophy
Echoing Hepworth’s artistic approach, the collection is defined by the tension between positive and negative space. Each piece resonates with the language of Hepworth's sculptures, resulting in jewellery that is conceptually rich, bold, and sculptural in presence.
Earrings
A distinctive hallmark of the earrings lies in their deliberate asymmetry: pairs composed of differing shapes. This contrast creates a unique aesthetic, where each earring asserts its individuality yet together they achieve a harmonious balance.
Rings
The rings embody the same dialogue between positive and negative space. Single Form I is open with generous void space, its airy composition lending a sense of lightness. Single Form II, by contrast, has a reduced negative space imparting a weightier, resolute character.
Materials, Craftmanship & Vision
Each piece in the collection began as a wax carving, then is cast in Australian‑sourced sterling silver or 9 carat yellow gold, before being hand‑finished with care. The result is jewellery that embodies a modern, minimal, and effortless sensibility.
In reinterpreting Barbara Hepworth’s sculptural language, I sought to translate her dialogue of form and space into jewellery. These designs are created to intrigue, to inspire, and to invite connection; sculptures distilled into adornment.
